How to add videos to your PseudoTUBE site

This article will explain how to add videos to your PseudoTUBE site. Content and traffic are the two most important aspects to any website. Great content helps repeat visitors and you can only get these if you have a good stream of unique and new visitors each and every day.

Manual method - simple and easy to do

Step 1: Visit your site, for example, fishing.pseudotube.com and click the UPLOAD button from the menu.
Step 2: Cut & paste the EMBED code from one of the supported sites. At the moment these are Youtube / Revver / Metacafe. The EMBED code is NOT the URL or LINK to the video. Video sites will clearly show you the EMBED code either next to the video or from a button often called SHARE. Example Youtube EMBED code looks like this.

Step 3: Paste the EMBED code on the UPLOAD page, enter a title and click SUBMIT VIDEO.
Step 4: Log into the manager and you will see UPLOADED videos in your PENDING QUEUE. Press approve and the video will appear on your site.

Automatic method - add 100's of videos quickly

The automatic method uses RSS feeds from the 3 main content providers. At first this may look a little complex but it is actually quite simple. The PseudoTUBE manager provides 10 RSS slots for Youtube / Revver / Metacafe. You place RSS feed URLS into these slots and then press SAVE & RUN once a week and any new videos will be added to your PENDING queue automatically.

Example: You have a site on make-up tutorials and you wish to add 100s of make-up videos automatically. Visit Youtube.com and search for videos on make-up tutorials. You will find other people making high quality channels with just make-up videos. Make a note of their channel / username. For example:

Youtube channel name = panacea81

RSS feed URL = http://www.youtube.com/rss/user/panacea81/videos.rss

Simpley take the name of the channel and insert it in the RSS feed URL as shown above. This will take the latest 20 videos and add them to your PENDING QUEUE. Most importantly, if you run it a week later, any new videos will be added and it will detect duplicates.

To get the most from the RSS feed method you should only use high quality channels that match your topic 100%. Some channels have a total mixture of videos. Avoid these or you will have to reject more videos than you approve.
