Your competition
The majority of the current 108 million registered domain names have little or no traffic. In fact, most domains are parked, doing nothing, or are registered but not hosted. People buy domains and then expect to be a .com millionaire overnight. If you put the hours into traffic generation you will soon rise to the top but if you do nothing then I can guarantee you will have no traffic.
Your business has a bad location

The best analogy I can come up with for an Internet business is to think of the world as the Internet and think of websites as high street stores. There are 1.4 billion Internet users and you can think of these as people in the high street.
If you had a real store with 1.4 billion people walking past every day then you would be in great shape.

However the internet has one nasty catch, people do not know about your store, people cannot see your store and people don't walk past your store.
Your brand new store is open and ready for business but it is located in the middle of the Sahara desert!

There is not a single person walking past. This is exactly what happens when you register a new domain name, if you don't market your site you will get no visitors. Let me say that again, if you do nothing you will get no visitors and no business.

What is a good base of traffic
So how many visitors a day do you need? Quite simply, the more visitors you have the more income you will earn. If you double your visitors you double your income. A minimum target should be 1000 visitors a day. The disappointing fact for any web site is most of your visitors will do nothing. They may look at your site for 1 or 2 seconds and then move on. This is why you need a substantial base of unique visitors per day. The pie chart shows some example percentages of what visitors do when they visit your site.

Money & marketing
Taking a very harsh business perspective at the break down you are not gaining any benefit from the visitors that leave with out doing anything and you are not going to benefit from people watching a video. The videos are used to attract people but the real business is what is left:
People telling people = free marketing
People clicking on an advert = income
People joining your mailing list = future income
People buying a PseudoTUBE system = income
People swapping links = free marketing
With a base of 1000 visitors per day means 60 people a day are helping you market the site and 90 people are helping you earn an income. If your site only has 10 visitors a day then 0.6 people help your market and 0.9 people help you earn an income.
You need to make a big push early in a business, this helps your site snowball and grow into a key player on the Internet. The 1000 visitors a day target is with in reach, as this is just 0.00084% of the Internet video market.
